COURSE OVERVIEW
Are you interested in sharing your knowledge with behavioral health clinicians? Are you already a clinical supervisor and need to enhance your knowledge and skills? This course will explore best practices in clinical supervision. We will explore the current models of clinical supervision and discuss the advantages and disadvantages of each.
A review of the ethics of clinical supervision will reveal the major ethical issues supervisors may face. Defining and examining the roles and responsibilities of both the supervisor and supervisee will assist in supporting the supervisee’s learning needs.
COURSE OBJECTIVES
- Develop best practices for providing clinical supervision, including supervisory contract and documentation procedures.
- Differentiate different models of supervision.
- Analyze the major ethical issues and risks involved in being a clinical supervisor.
- Differentiate the roles and responsibilities of the supervisor and supervisee.
