COURSE OVERVIEW
This webinar will explore what is happening in the mind and body during high stress and traumatic injury periods. Participants will learn symptoms and risks associated with adaptation to trauma and dysfunctional stress, but the content will focus much on activities for coping, relief, and healing. No one likes the situation we all commonly yet uniquely suffer, but we can get through it. We can even choose to find ways to grow, during a time that the world seems to be falling apart.
COURSE OBJECTIVES
- Discuss the traumatic stress and related injuries, symptoms/impacts, acute/active injuries.
- Give emphasis on emotional intelligence, mindful approaches for recognizing and addressing needs.
- Discuss the considerations for monitoring influences and stressors, limiting external forces, to reduce adverse impacts on thinking and mood, health, or decision-making.
- Identifying injuries & maladaptive coping or learning, to challenge for healing & change.
Target Audience: Licensed Professional Counselors, Social Workers, Addiction Counselors, & LMFT
Content Level: Beginner to Intermediate
