COURSE OVERVIEW
This training will cover grief and loss in adults, beginning with the foundation of different types of grief and different types of losses clients may experience throughout their lifespan. This training will cover what to expect during the grieving process with clients, how this is unique to each client’s experience, and best practices for working with clients in the clinical space who are
grieving.
In this training, Gabrielle Villani, LCSW will discuss the implications of trauma on grief, how that may present in clients, and how to form a differential diagnosis when deciding if a client meets the criteria for a clinical diagnosis. Clinicians will walk away with tools to utilize with clients in sessions, including working with and soothing our nervous system, a better understanding of grief presentations, and the importance of self-care and self-regulation when working with this population.
