“(… what if I, myself, stand in need of the alms of my own kindness…what if I, myself, am the enemy who must be loved?…”, Carl Gustaf Jung.
At the root of much suffering of those who enter our doors is a lack of acceptance of themselves…a lack of forgiveness. But many of us, driven by our formal clinical education and practice, often miss this underlying, basic need amongst the various clinical symptomologies. The webinar will comprise three parts: a historical look at forgiveness, in general, in our spiritual, societal, and psychological traditions; how to identify clients for whom self-forgiveness work is warranted; and, finally, we will discover some clinical ways to help clients free themselves thru self-forgiveness.
- Recognize the need for, and presentation, of clients who may benefit from forgiveness.
- Construct a clinical framework in order to help address the need for forgiveness.
- Apply our understandings of clinical case studies.
