Jim C. Anderson, LPC, LCAS, CSAT, began his career working in inpatient psychiatric settings in both Maine and California-eventually serving as the Director of Outpatient Services for both psychiatric and substance abuse services. His focus shifted more directly into substance abuse work with a position as Clinical Director at Azure Acres in California, a founding residential facility of the Camp Recovery Centers-an organization which grew to become one of the largest provider of substance abuse services in the nation. In 2002, he relocated his young family to Davidson, NC, and took a position (and eventually partnered with his supervisor to own) two substance abuse education clinics in Charlotte and Mooresville, NC. He formed ‘Conscious Sense, LLC’ in 2008-a private practice in Cornelius, NC, which specializes in sexual addiction and partner trauma, spiritual growth & development, and integral therapy for individuals and couples. He has presented throughout his twenty year career, including audiences with the FBI, the NC Licensed Professional Counselors Association, several college/university settings, and regular CEU trainings with provider organizations in North Carolina.
