Dr. Shannon Shoemaker, LCPC, LMHC, NCC

Dr. Shannon Shoemaker earned her BS in Psychology and M.Ed. in Counselor Education at Bridgewater State College. She earned a doctorate in Counselor Education and Supervision from The Pennsylvania State University. She is also an LCPC in Maryland, an LMHC in Massachusetts, and is a Maryland Board Approved Supervisor. She has ten years of clinical experience in school systems, community counseling services, and working with adults, adolescents, and families. Her research interests include matters pertaining to sexuality, affectional identity, public policy advocacy, immigrants, and creativity in counseling utilizing qualitative research methods. Dr. Shoemaker has presented at local, national, and international counseling conferences. She is a member of ACA, ACES, ACC, SAIGE, and is secretary of ACSSW.
