Dr. Cheryl Meola, LCMHC, NCC
Cheryl Meola, Ph.D., LCMHC, NCC is a highly qualified therapist with a wealth of experience and expertise in Equine Assisted Therapy. Holding a Doctorate from East Carolina University’s Department of Addictions and Rehabilitation Counseling, her research and clinical work have been focused on using equine therapy to help clinical populations and promoting equine-assisted wellness and stress reduction for individuals such as helping professionals, veterans, and parents.
Based in Greenville, NC, she operates a private practice where she offers therapy and wellness counseling with the assistance of her talented equine co-therapists. Dr. Meola specializes in coaching parents whose children have been diagnosed with mental health issues, as well as working with counselors to promote self-growth and awareness.
Additionally, she provides supervision for those pursuing licensure. With two children and a therapy puppy in training, Dr. Meola enjoys spending time at the farm with her horses, as well as reading and writing about new ways to incorporate equine therapy into her practice.
