Cheryl Meola, PhD., LCMHC, NCC has a doctorate from East Carolina University from the Department of Addictions and Rehabilitation Counseling. Her research and clinical work focus on Equine Assisted Therapy for clinical populations and Equine Assisted Wellness and Stress Reduction for helping professionals, veterans, parents, and others struggling with stress in day to day life. She has a private practice in Greenville, NC where she provides therapy and wellness counseling along with several talented equine co-therapists. Her specialties are coaching parents whose children are diagnosed with a mental health issue and working with counselors in self-growth and awareness. She also provides supervision for those pursuing licensure. She has two children and a little therapy puppy in training, and enjoys spending time at the farm with the horses and reading and writing about new ways to incorporate horses into therapy!
