Overview:
This 3-hour webinar provides therapists and healing professionals with an exploration of intergenerational trauma and its impact on individuals, families, and communities. Through theoretical frameworks, practical tools, and evidence-based techniques, participants will learn to recognize, understand, and heal legacy and cultural burdens transmitted across generations.Â
Stacy draws on historical, cultural, and transpersonal insights; this training uses an integrative approach that introduces trauma-informed tools from Internal Family Systems (IFS), somatic, and transpersonal therapies to address and transform deeply rooted traumas.
Objectives:
- Define and identify intergenerational trauma, legacy burdens, and cultural burdens.
- Explain the mechanisms of transgenerational trauma transmission, including epigenetic, energetic, and experiential pathways.
- Analyze the impact of societal norms, shame, secrets, oppression, and systemic burdens on clients and communities.
- Identify indications of legacy and cultural burdens in yourself, clients, and systems.
- Utilize techniques to work with the protective system and navigate resistance to healing.
- Apply unburdening processes for healing intergenerational trauma using step-by-step strategies.
- Explore and address societal burdens such as racism, patriarchy, and perfectionism to foster systemic and individual transformation.
