Proper clinical assessing is key to ensuring that clients experiencing mental health disparities have awareness surrounding their symptoms, understanding of treatment options available to them, as well as opportunities to engage in mental health therapy. "Corey Pitts, a mental health therapist and certified clinical supervisor working in private practice in Charlotte, NC. He is also an Adjunct Instructor with the Division of Clinical Rehabilitation and Mental Health Counseling at the UNC School of Medicine. Corey has been a therapist for 9 years. He specializes in the treatment and management of co-occurring disorders such as trauma, anxiety/depression, substance use, as well as aspects of various mood and personality disorders. He uses Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, as well as Solution Therapy approaches.
