Overview:
This 6-hour training equips CBT clinicians with a practical framework for integrating AI tools, mental health apps, and wearables into evidence-based practice. Learn how to evaluate emerging technologies, guide clients who are already using digital tools on their own, and make sound ethical decisions in areas where professional guidelines are still evolving.
Gain the clinical decision-making skills to determine which tools actually support CBT outcomes — and which ones create risk. Walk away with a flexible framework you can apply to any new technology, protecting both client welfare and your professional standing.
Designed for licensed mental health professionals who want to stay current with digital tools while maintaining therapeutic integrity, ethical standards, and client safety.
Objectives:
-
Identify how core CBT principles guide ethical integration of AI and digital tools.
-
Evaluate mental health apps, AI assistants, and wearables for clinical appropriateness and risk.
-
Apply an ethical decision-making framework to emerging technologies where guidelines are evolving.
-
Integrate digital tools into CBT treatment plans without replacing core therapeutic processes.
-
Guide clients in safe, informed use of self-directed AI tools and digital resources.
-
Recognize technology-related risks and implement strategies to protect client welfare and licensure.
