Overview:
This interactive course explains the pros and cons of marijuana use and presents the at-risk issues of many youths. It includes up-to-date information about CBD oil and defines some of the issues needed for discussion. It provides both insights for the therapist and preparation for discussions with clients and their families. “From the Green Cloud” proposes facts and information for the coming wave of marijuana use and abuse. It will provide a healthy bridge for discussion between therapists and clients as well as parents with their families.
Objectives:
- Discover the endocannabinoid system and how it works.
- Analyze and compare different approaches and conclusions as to the efficacy and risks of cannabis use and abuse.
- Discuss legal issues associated with THC use in states where it is approved and decriminalized.
- List the major risks associated with THC use.
- Express a personal, factual rationale for the use of, or the abstinence from, cannabis use.

Paul Hardy
Paul Hardy is a respected figure in the field of addiction recovery, with over 25 years of experience as a National Master Addictions Counselor (NMAC) and Certified Substance Abuse Counselor (CSAC). He is the founder and executive director of Recovery for Life, a leading substance abuse recovery program in Virginia Beach that offers a holistic approach to addiction recovery. Dr. Hardy is dedicated to developing effective recovery programs, training recovery leaders, and designing innovative program curricula. He and his wife Suzie founded Transition Homes for Hope, which provides residential treatment for individuals seeking recovery after incarceration. His expertise in working with diverse populations is widely recognized, and he is a sought-after educator, speaker, and presenter. Dr. Hardy has presented at various conferences and organizations, including Virginia Court DUI Services, Christian Psychotherapy, and the Virginia Bar Association. His commitment to improving the lives of those struggling with addiction has made a significant impact on the community and beyond.

Social Workers — Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB)
E Care Behavioral Health Institute, #1706, is approved to offer social work continuing education by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) Approved Continuing Education (ACE) program. Organizations, not individual courses, are approved as ACE providers. State and provincial regulatory boards have the final authority to determine whether an individual course may be accepted for continuing education credit.
