Overview:
This 3-hour webinar introduces the foundations of mental health nutrition, empowering therapists with practical, evidence-informed strategies to support emotional and cognitive well-being. Designed specifically for mental health professionals, this training explores the connection between diet and brain function—focusing on how nutritional factors impact depression, anxiety, PTSD, sleep issues, and attention.
In this presentation, you’ll learn how to integrate nutrition-informed psychoeducation, simple assessment tools (like food-mood tracking), and lifestyle-based interventions into clinical work—without stepping outside your scope of practice. Whether you’re new to this topic, or looking to expand your holistic toolkit, this course offers actionable guidance you can use immediately to enhance client outcomes and promote long-term mental wellness.
Objectives:
- Define the role of nutrition in mental health.
- Assess self-care status using a food-mood diary.
- Define three (3) evidence-based nutritional interventions to improve mood.
