Shira Sameroff
Shira Sameroff is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with over two decades of experience in the field. She earned her Master of Social Work degree at the prestigious Silberman School of Social Work at Hunter College. During her fifteen years on the leadership team at the Center for Family Life (CFL), a Brooklyn-based community-based social work agency, Shira directed and developed holistic, strength-based programming for youth, families, and the community. She also provided individual and family counseling, created and facilitated training and workshops for diverse audiences, and engaged in advocacy on issues ranging from racism to public health and beyond. Throughout her career, Shira has remained committed to supporting people to achieve their full potential while working to dismantle the societal injustices that hold them back. She is deeply passionate about a range of issues, including young people, food justice, climate change, and healing racialized trauma. Shira's post-graduate professional development learning has included Internal Family Systems (IFS), nature-based therapy, and other areas of expertise.
