Objectives:
- Assess for and identify Narcissistic Personality Disorder.
- Examine client symptom presentation and explain how to manage narcissistic symptomatology.
- Learn how to communicate more effectively with clients exhibiting narcissistic behaviors.
- Determine whether to manage or treat narcissism.

Ellen Biros, LCSW
Ellen Biros earned a Master’s in Justice from the American University in Washington, DC. and a Master’s in Social Work from the University of Georgia. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and has been practicing social work for over 25 years. Currently, she has a private practice where she specializes in the treatment and assessment of individuals with personality disorders, substance abuse issues, and emotional regulation problems. She also provides clinical supervision for social workers seeking their clinical licensure. Ellen is an adjunct faculty member at The University of Phoenix in the College of Social Services and the College of Natural Sciences and at Tulane University in the School of Social Work. She has been a national continuing education speaker and has authored a variety of continuing education seminars. Ellen is the author of multiple psychotherapeutic articles as well as the recently published "Recovering from Narcissistic Mothers: A Daughter's Workbook." Ellen has been married for 24 years and has two daughters.
