Dr. Kirby Reutter, LMHC, MAC
Dr. Kirby Reutter is a bilingual clinical psychologist who contracts full-time with the Department of Homeland Security to provide mental health services for asylum seekers from around the globe. Dr. Reutter has engaged in extensive public speaking in over 100 locations throughout the continent, including presenting original research at MIT, providing training at four different military bases, and delivering one TED Talk at Purdue University on the effects of human trafficking on both society and brain development.
Thus far to date, Dr. Reutter has written three books and authored / co-authored ten journal articles on topics ranging from human trafficking, minor separations, and spiritual coping to repressed memories, female agoraphobia, and polyvagal theory. Dr. Reutter’s most recognized work is The Dialectical Behavior Therapy Skills Workbook for PTSD: Practical Exercises for Overcoming Trauma and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, published by New Harbinger.
