Friday, October 20th
12:00 PM EST – 3:15 PM EST
Overview:
The human psyche consists of a rich internal system, with different parts working to protect and adapt to life’s challenges. Internal Family Systems (IFS) provides a structured, evidence-based approach to understanding and working with these internal dynamics, fostering healing by engaging the natural leadership of the Self.
This webinar offers clinicians an in-depth exploration of the core principles and clinical applications of IFS. Through case studies and video demonstrations, presenter Ellie Cunanan-Petty, LMFT, an IFS Certified Therapist, will walk participants through practical strategies for integrating IFS into their clinical work. The session will also introduce attendees to the IFS framework for ethical decision-making, considerations for working with diverse populations, and the pathway to IFS certification.
By the end of this session, participants will have a structured approach to applying IFS techniques in their therapeutic practice, helping clients achieve balance, harmony, and inner healing.
Objectives:
- Describe the basic assumptions of IFS.
- Discuss the three categories of sub-personalities, or parts, that most often present in therapy.
- Explain the IFS concept of Self, including its role and effectiveness as a leader in the internal system.
Course materials are only available to enrolled students.
