12:00 PM EST – 3:15 PM EST
Overview:
The human mind is a tapestry of complexity, with protected and wounded parts often assuming extreme roles within our internal system. IFS, an evidence-based model of psychotherapy, illuminates the path to restoring balance and harmony by harnessing the inherent power of a core Self. By empowering individuals to access their Self, IFS enables a profound understanding and healing of their internal parts, fostering both inner and outer connectedness.
Objectives:
- Describe the basic assumptions of IFS and the key therapeutic
goals of IFS therapy. - Discuss the three categories of sub-personalities, or parts, that
most often present in therapy. - Explain the IFS concept of Self and explain its role and
effectiveness as a leader in the internal system. - Describe the healing steps which allow exiled parts to release
uncomfortable burdens and beliefs, restoring the internal balance
and harmony. - Give at least two techniques that aid in establishing and facilitating clients’ Self to part relationships with parts in their protective system.
- Describe the healing steps which allow exiled parts to release uncomfortable burdens and beliefs, restoring internal balance and harmony.
Course materials are only available to enrolled students.
